This week I read Five Weapons: Making the Grade. It’s a fun and intriguing story about a school for the children of hit men, and a student who ends up there through strange circumstances. The five weapons referred to in the title are also the five clubs students can join: knife, stave, archery, exotic weapon, and gun. The characters are diverse, although there are still some stereotypes lingering on the pages. Overall, though, if you like a protagonist who can think his way out of trouble, combined with a little mystery and sprinkled with action sequences, this is worth a read.
