Friends With Boys is a great graphic novel and a quick read. Maggie is just starting high school after being home schooled by her mom for the rest of her education. The novel follows her as she starts at school, while also dealing with the fact that her mom has left her family (including her dad and three older brothers). As expected, it’s a bit of a tough adjustment, but Maggie makes friends with a brother and sister who are also school outcasts. She’s never really had friends other than her brothers, so it’s a new experience. It’s a cast of really likable characters, and I recommend joining them when you have 30 minutes to spare. – Ms. Etchison
